Supports
fine motor skills

Moving cards with hand movement helps practice precision, coordination, and range of motion.

A familiar
card activity

Solitaire is often familiar to clients and naturally motivates them to continue playing.

Suitable for clients
sitting, lying down, standing, or in a wheelchair

The activity can be adapted to the client’s abilities and range of movement.

How Solitaire works in Medulla

1

The activity worker
starts the activity

On the laptop, they select Solitaire and position the camera so it can clearly detect the client’s movement.

2

The client selects a card
with hand movement

By moving in front of the camera, the client points to the card they want to take or move.

3

The client moves the cards
and completes the game

The client thinks through each move, places cards in the correct positions, and naturally exercises their hands and attention.

Example of the Solitaire activity in Medulla
I enjoyed Solitaire. I had to think through each move,
and at the same time, I nicely exercised my hand.
